A job from Tuesday.. threw a 35-40' oak top over a jap maple and small shrub into the street. I could have pieced it out with the bucket, but it was Dave Bryant's (anyone remember treeslayer from the old days at AS?) first day with the crew, and I wanted to show off a little for him. Was a sweet moment as the piece landed perfectly..

Seriously though, I'd much prefer to deal with an entire section spread out on the ground like that than having 20 little sections piled at the base of the tree also.

How long did that whole job take?

It looks like this was the fastest/safest way to do the job, and everything seemed to go according to plan. I feel like credit should be given where due, and this deserves a bit, including the placement of the logs to receive the impact. The shout-out to your critics was totally unnecessary, though. Just wear the chaps and remove that whole part of the discussion.

Shoveling out the cr*p in this thread just took ten minutes out of my life. Is anyone going to step up and give me my time back?!

I am getting more than fed up with the hogpiling that goes on. Bear baiting may be what you think of as good sport but I don't.

Having to be the Mean Guy sure does take the fun out of Tree Buzz.

Take any further snide comments off-line. If you don't have something to add don't add something to detract. [Hey, that came out pretty well and I didn't even pre-think it!]
