Throw line reel

Before I buy an automatic retractable reel for use in traversing the canopy, is the South Bend Oren-O-Matic No. 1130 Model D Automatic Fly Fishing Reel a good one or is there a different reel I should be looking for? My throw line is 1.75mm zing it and only need 40-50 feet in the tree. The rope I use once in the canopy is 11mm Yale blaze. Im only 1 1/2 years into climbing, mostly just for sport and exercise. 100% of what I have learned so far has come from this site, e-mails to Wespur and youtube. I just don't have the pleasure to climb with anyone else in this area or ask these questions to. Thanks!

I use a pfluger fly automatic fishing reel. Any automatic fly fishing reel should work. The Shakespeare is fatter and the pfluger is thinner. Look on ebay for antique fly fishing reel. I got 2 pflugers for 35.00

I have one of the Oren-O-Matic reels and it is very well made, works great. I have about 60 feet of throwline on it, which I think is the same 1.75mm you have.

Oh, meant to say I climb alone too, without anyone very close to climb with. Be careful and tell someone where you are going each time, if you can. And welcome to the forum.
