There's a really small version of that at a ski resort in Ontario. But not open tray, one guy like that one.

The one I rode as a kid lasted for a few years until one came off. I don’t think the injuries were life threatening but the resulting law suit shut the thing down in a heartbeat. Sad day...

I would be more than a little worried about a fallen tree, branch, buzzard sitting on the rail, etc. Maybe send it through with a camera right before the ride.
