This Truck Kicks!!!

My new truck! I went to Plant City, FL to pick it up. I flew out to Tampa Wednesday night, the next morning I picked out the truck, that afternoon I was on my way home. The drive was 1,890 miles! Most of the South I liked. Kansas was the boring part of the drive.

She's a little dirty from the drive. I'll have to give 'er a bath soon.

Anyway, the truck is a 2000 with the automatic Allison transmission. The transmission downshifts at lower speeds!--I'm impressed.

I was accelerating up grades and maintaining 70mph through the hilly Tennessee mountians. The torque and top end is impressive. Oh, she purrs like a kitten.

And that turn radius is like everyone says.--It's great!

The extended cab was/is great. On my trip I was able to sleep behind the seats. A 6' man could sleep in there no problem. I'll be placing climbing gear back there with other gear.

Later I will be mounting tool boxes under the bed. I'll also get the advertising on it soon.

Did I mention it has air brakes? Man those are touchy!

Dan. The engine is Isuzu. I don't have the type at my finger tips. I'd have to look on the engine itself. But, if ya'all know about Isuzu's reputation on engines, they are good.

Interesting fact: Isuzu also puts their engines in the GMC cabover trucks. (The GMC W series).

I believe if the truck has air brakes you need the endorsement. Not a big deal anyway. Better to have the endorsement before the coppers stop you. If not, you'll be scrambling to find someone to drive the truck home for you.

Nice truck and at a good price to. I bought my Mitsubishi Fuso last year and I love it. I am envious of the extra cab space you have. I wish mine had a tool box between the cab and the dump bed.

I have thought about that. I have this idea. The attachment is self explanitory. I think it is a cheap solution. However, I know it takes away holding capacity.
