It seemed odd to find that the 5/16" dia. Bee-line is stronger than the 3/8". A couple of emails and the mystery is solved:
The 5/16, in order to reach 5400# breaking strength, needed
to have a Vectran core. The 3/8 can be done with polyester.
Also, Technora can go to 300 degrees Celsius, that's 572 degrees in the US,
and then cool down and still retain its original tensile
strength.
