The TCIA and ISA stand up against BIg Bad Wood

The way that climbers and facilitators model positive professionalism at TCC's would make network broadcast of these events a loser. Producers are going to want to see fistfights and drunken shout-fests, not professionals supporting and encouraging each other.

It's kind of like big band jazz. Incredibly fun if you're in the band, but otherwise it's a lot like watching paint dry.

Yes, for the uninvolved, TCC's are not that exciting. Now diagnostics, that's where the drama is! But neither org pays much attention to that topic.

I don't get the big band jazz analogy; that can be pretty hot stuff! Unlike the MC, there's no waiting for that trumpet solo, and Gene Krupa bangin those skins will make you jump!

Ed Shaunessey kickes Genes [pick a different word], and Buddy Rich is a jack [pick a different word]. Now the Maynard Ferguson band in the 80's and 90's was the real deal. TV is geared to the mentality of the average American. Sorry, but buzzers dont fit the mold.

If diagnostics is your bag, then maybe you could tell me why ATF is peeing out the top of my tourque converter on my Timberjack 350a. My guess is blockage in a line somewhere. Do you need more clues?

[/ QUOTE ] Yes. Unhook the line and suck real hard on it.

My wraptor conked out halfway up an oak so I took apart the carburetor and squirted everything with starter fluid, wiped it clean, put it back together (with no parts left over for once), and vrrrooooommmmmm!

Does that help?

I have to disagree somewhat. I think there's a place for TCCs on mainstream tv. We see a degree (or much more sometimes) of positive professionalism in sporting events currently shown on major sports networks.

Let's imagine something like this happened and was interesting enough to an adequate audience. What do you think the outcome would be in that scenario? Good or bad or both?
