The Alamo Sellout

To all who may be concerned:

The "grandfather" of Alamo sales has been heard saying that he is "done with TExas". Has any body else heard this?
It is my opinion that it is becasue Alamo sales are way down with the introduction of the new generic Alamo product. I for one, have spent thousands of dollars
on Alamo and I am curious as to why he is downing Alamo so much? I heard too that his Minnesota company has a new product that is even better than that old Alamo.
I guess that this new product will be "the best" until someone introduces a generic of it and then it too will get "downed" like Alamo. Come on T.P., don't throw in the towel on Alamo just yet, we still believe in it!!!!!!!!!

The truth is that we are not throwing the towel in on Texas. We are working on about 4 different research projects with some different folks in Texas. Hopefully we will find something better and easier than Alamo.

Surprisingly, most people in Texas have stuck with Alamo. Not all - but many. Hopefully people will continue to see the value our company brings to Arborists and continue to purchase the stuff that started it all. Now that the price of Alamo has come down so much, the new quali pro has actually been a blessing to many. Yes we are making less, but most people may be surprised that we were never making that much money anyway. Total sales of Alamo in all of Texas last year was only about 450 gallons. So far this year our volumes are about the same and most of our customers have committed to staying with the trusted brand. Texas A&amp;M just bought 8 gallons for the trees on campus.

Our hope is that our company can continue to provide enough service and value to people so that they will continue to support us - then we in return can continue to support the industry with research and support.

I'm just getting sick of these clowns bashing one another. Pick up the phone if you have a problem.

I know there is good info in these posts, but I don't have the time to weed it all out with all the BS thats mixed in with it.

It seems like its Prosser vs. everyone.

I doubt his job description stated that he would be required to endure ruthless battering 24-7.
