That Hammond B3 sound!

One of our Dad's aunt and uncle played a Hammond B3 organ. When they retired our folks bought the organ and my sister and I took lessons. I never 'connected' with playing the organ. Our teacher wouldn't let me play the music I wanted.

Fast forward a few years and my brother Jim comes along...takes lessons from the same guy...and 'gets' music theory.

Fast forward again...he's reworking a Hammond organ.

Take a look:

To be accurate, the family organ was an M3. My current project is an L-100, which you can see Keith Emerson kicking around and stabbing on YouTube vids of concerts.

I have owned two A and a C2.

Keeping the models straight is like those of you that know the entire model lines for Husky, Jred, or Stihl.

Just think Tim Allen in "Tool Time" and his hot rod out in the garage--
