thanks!

I would like to quickly say thank you to Mark, Tom and everyone who is a part of this forum for such a wonderful place for us all to go to talk about these things arboricultural. Having recently left my home town as well as my mentors and peers, it is a pleasure to have this site for discourse and information exchange. As I read all your posts I know I am in a good place, that I am good at what I do, but could be better, and have a long road to travel. (But not alone!) So thanks to you all and keep up the good work. This site and its members are a testament to this industry.

Very kind of you to take the time to say that! Thanks. I would just like to reiterate that the reason this site is a positive interactive environment is directly due to the involvement and creativity of those who post. Thanks to all of you.

I agree, this site is great. After a day of watching guys swing around on gaffs w/ no safety lanyard or really anything safety oriented at all, it's nice to come home and see that there are people out there that do this work properly! Now if I can just find someone in Jacksonville FL that follows the techniques of the people on this site and would be interested in hiring me part time to "show me the ropes", I'd be set. I am totally amazed at how dangerously people are willing to work. 100'+ pines today, no lanyard on the way up, climbing line used for pull line, crazy. Thankfully it's not me up there, but these are the guys I've found to work with. I would try calling some other people, but I'm afraid of just getting more of the same. One un-named person I work for sometimes does this sort of stuff and is supposedly a cetified arborist. Heeeelp! /forum/images/graemlins/ahhhhh.gif
