I did my first removal as a boss today. A gorgeous and healthy little thirty foot pin oak that was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to some folks.

Thank you treebuzz for existing, thanks Tom and Mark!

Thank you treebuzzers for all (well, most) of your posts, especially you guys and gals with the courage to post about your mistakes and give us all the opportunity to learn from them.

Thank you treestuff, knot & rope, and heck, thanks sherrill.

Thank you Cesar, the best groundie i know.

And thank you Ian, I couldn't have done it without you bro. You the man.

Oh yeah, thank you little pin oak. I'm sorry you had to go, I will do my best to take care of the fam.

Good for you GP. It takes a lot of discipline and belief in yourself to step out and start your own business. I wish you all the best in this endeavor. I have always loved being my own boss and have been most of my working life. If and when things get tough remember today and these feelings you have, it will help you through those times. Good luck dude.

Glad to hear the first one went well!

The days get even better when you can make those 30-footers grow to be healthy 80-footers.

X that was seriously weird, but it might explain why I quit being a boss; aside from sucking at it--no, not like that...

I appreciate it ya'll...

I do believe I could have helped that tree get to eighty feet and beyond. It would have required a different kind of removal though... building demo.

The vid makes me wonder if maybe when a man works for himself, he isn't his own boss, he is just a man with no boss.

with regards to my days...

X-man, check it...

That was my trimming helmet in the brush mowing picture, a pacific, no mohawk on it. Using a thin snow mobile mask to keep the dust out.

BTW, my tree removal helmet, the mowhawk on the kask got on my nerves, caught twigs every now and then, so I trimmed it down. Still there, but trimmed down.

No, I still refuse to sell you my old helmet with my sweat and man-stink in it; as you have asked several hundred times to buy it from me.

It gives me the cold chills thinking of what you would do with it....

I'm trying and trying to get a Protos helmet, but pfanner really sucks with dragging things out and being late on their release dates.

you just too cheap and won't take the run over by a train penny i am trying to offer you for the kask.....

i won't do anything with that helmet but throw it up on the shelf next to the orange one i wore for 2 days 2 years ago!

i promise.

yeah X, i liked the movies... they stretched the truth a little bit but all in all i thought it was a fair representation of me and my people.

has there ever been a successful treebuzz romance?

we might be witnessing the start of something historic here.
