Vicente Pena-Molina is the 2014 Texas champ. He beat out defending champ Miguel Pastenes, David Ruiz and Jimmy Pritchard, in that order. Former world champ Jared Abrojena, in town to do a workshop for our chapter, also ran the prelims. Highlites for this year included having prelims in a row of massive bald cypress trees that hung out over a river, having the Masters in a different park, having a traverse between two trees as part of the work climb course, and allowing SRTWP for the first time, although that wasn't without its controversy.

We have just heard that 2015 ITCC WILL be in the spring in Tampa Bay. That means most chapters will have a tough choice to make this fall about how they decide who will be their rep in 2015 due to the early date.
