Teufelberger Products?

Clarification on that, if they are a NE retailer/distributor they may be able to special order it. Because a company retails some of a company's product doesn't mean they can sell all of them. Case in point, Blackberry Torch, can't get it through Verizon though they carry Blackberry products. Or Keen footwear, Campmor in NJ carries them but I can't get the Pyrenees mid boot from them.

Does anybody know where I can purchase Teufelberger products in the US?

New England adds Teufelberger stuff to their offerings on a case by case basis. From talking with them I can tell you NER is aware of the demand for many of these newer products and is working towards bringing more of them into the US market.

I'd be more specific, but that's all the info I have at this point. I recommend that you email them and let them know that there is a high interest level for some of these innovative climbing products made by their parent company... it can't hurt to reinforce the notion.

I think Luke is right. Call NER and tell them what you want. When they see that customers demand it, they will work harder/faster to help keep us happy.

Here is their 800 number straight from their website: 800-333-6679.

They'll do some raw number crunching and if it adds up to a profit for them then it'll happen. Next trade show be sure to ask for these products and in the mean time bombard them with requests for them thru the website and 800#.

Contacting them sure won't hurt. The problem isn't that they don't want to bring the products over, it's just hard to get the pricing info in order with the exchange rates and the moving dollar as well as taxes. Some products are CE rated and not ANSI which can also pose a problem.

Mark raises a great point. The standards and ratings do pose an issue.

If I recall correctly NER had a tricky time with Ocean Polyester 8mm because it doesn't meet ANSI in a straight pull. It didn't prevent them from eventually carrying it, but it definitely gave them pause.

Some of these products are using small diameter cordage which may be an issue. All of these seemingly minor factors have to be considered by NER since they are taking on the brunt of the liability.

All that said... NER will get it done.
