Made this badboy from a telescoping mini flagpole, coathanger and a scabbard from a kids bubble toy. Has an 8' reach, super light and packs away secured with a velcro strap. Game changer.

Before I bought my SideKick, I made one of these out of a telescoping golf ball retriever. It telescoped out to 12 feet and each section locked in place. Accidentally left it at an event unfortunately, but if I ever wanted to replace it, there are quite a few different ones on eBay and relatively cheap. Only disadvantage is when retracted, most of them are still almost three feet long, too long to hang on the saddle for easy carrying. The SideKick is only 22 inches when closed.
