Wondering a couple of things. 1st:
How do you store your cell phone when you're climbing? None of my pants pockets are accessible because of the harness. Well, except the side carpenter's pocket but that's really tight to get to. Do some of you have a velcro pouch on your harness? Or maybe one on suspenders? I will be wearing suspenders on my harness this year, I could find a spot on the shoulder straps I suppose.
2nd:
Is anyone aware of a pair of helmet-mounted ear muffs that are bluetooth capable? I'm not talking about radio comms, I just mean the ability to play tunes on the muffs for like those long sessions of bucking logs & hauling brush.
Cheers

1. Winter time I have a jacket with a zipping chest pocket.
Some saw pants have zippered pockets that sit in different spots on the legs than where jeans normally have their pockets and they're easier to get into
Rock Climbing chalk bags work well to put phones in, usually drawstring closure and fleece or other soft material lined (though they do collect a lot of wood chips as well) they work better than regular tool buckets

2. Sena helmet comms also do regular bluetooth stuff like answering the phone, listening to music, etc. Depending on which model you get, you can have music for yourself only while tlaking to the crew, music for everyone, or even FM radio without a phone at all.
Also I haven't tried them, but I would expect something like airpods to be small enough to fit underneath the muffs

Best 14$ I ever spent, really can't go wrong. Very fast access to my tourniquet too.

I started off with pouches like the Saddle Lanyard Pouch that WesSpur offers from Tactical Tailors - they're good for the rear, off the belt. Then I've had a go with a couple of kinds of smaller pouches fixed on my harness suspender strap, but I found all of these that I've played with over the years still managed to get in the way at times when I'm trying to see my side D's or my side tool clips (that's if I can see over my expanding girth . . . ). So lately I've settled on a small leather pouch (souvenir of a leather shop in Madrid) that I have on my left leg "auxiliary" strap on my MBH. This stays outa the way, hasn't been squished yet and is really handy for me (phone, xtra whistle, etc.). Still carry a pouch on the back often, these days some version of the Arbortec Hip Pouches (in large): www.honeybros.com/Item/Arbortec_Hip_Pouch

Left Cargo pocket on Arborwear Tech II pants.

I dropped my phone for the first time out of a tree, recently. I was tired and did a dum move. Otterbox FTW.

My clogger zeros have great pocket placement for my phone. I do usually have to shift my leg a bit, but it’s not a headache like other pants.

Like mentioned above, Sena units allow for music while working, but if you are working within a team, I strongly discourage it. The music takes away focus, affecting efficiency and safety. I’ve witnessed it many times. I’m trying to calm down as I type this, actually.
