That's kinda what I figured. It worked out great on that job for capturing the entire scene. Was someone in the basket the whole time? Did they rap out after the camera was set, or was the boom put in position with ground controls? If the latter, how did you manage to frame the shot so well?

The first time we set it up, Jesse went up and then rappelled down. We tuned it off to take a short lunch and I reset it from the ground controls. We have so many ideas now for future recording.

It's good to see the bucket being used now you have a crane

Nice work.

I'm still confused as to the definition of production tree work. Is there a certain # of trees required to be done per day,or certain volume of debris,or amount of money made per day? Often when comparing various crane s to the kboom people aren't comparing same size and cost cranes..

Awesome work guys. Back to regular programming..

Thank you Mark. It's one of those definitions that stays undefined.
I tend to think of production tree work as utility work where there are ambitious quotas that have to be met.

Residential tree work can be high production but there are other, higher priorities that slow things down like protecting property or reaching difficult areas.

But this is America where the mostest for the cheapest rules so production is what we value... and dirt money is what we will get for it.

Very cool vid!

I think production work means most residential work where work orders are expected to be achieved each day. I think its most applicable as a decription for the Barletts and Daveys and big companies like that where things tend to be more 'cookie cutter'.

I worked for a small company and we did a variety of jobs, big and small, with no fancy equipment except chip trucks and chippers.

Still expected to get the day's quotes done. But the boss knew that it wasn't always going to turn out that way. Circumstances and safety change things sometimes. It doesn't mean the fastest rate possible, but what is expected in that market for the kind of work being done. The culture around that varies by company.
