Tablets in the field Pros and Cons

Oh I forgot the other essential program, Evernote, it keeps all my thoughts in one place. I can add spreadsheets, keep the work to list organized by location. Really a useful way utilizing tablet and phone.

I am not sure. I do not run Quickbooks. If it will import spreadsheets, then I would assume yes. The program I run is nothing more then spreadsheets that are linked together. I use an accountant for what Quickbooks can do for me.

Hey Guys,

There have been a few comments in this thread about wishing I2G could do some other things as well, such as scheduling and receiving payments etc. I just wanted to drop a plug and tell you guys to check out Jobber if you are still looking or even if you have something already.

The whole purpose of our company is to make life easier for service businesses (like tree care and arbor companies) by taking care of everything from quotes, scheduling, job tracking, customer management, to billing and everything in between. We are cloud based meaning you can access it from anywhere on any device and never have to worry about losing data. We also sync with Quickbooks.

It is easy to learn and you can try for free. Perhaps the biggest compliment though is that marlinspiker has recently found us even though he has Serviceceo. Now maybe you can stop plugging them and give us a shout out Michael!

Cheers,
Jeff

Hey Bakesmaster,

We work with any type of tablet or phone actually. An yes, you can accept payment right on the spot which is obviously really handy.

You can sign up for a free trial at www.getjobber.com and if you'd like, I definitely recommend setting up a free demo as well. One of our account managers walk you through a typical work flow and help you set it up for your company.

Thanks for the interest,
Jeff
