Sum Knot Theory

TreeSpyder, thanks for puting out an image of the
Anchor H. Noose. Note that if one tucks the end
out the side it's a sort of minimal Blake's/ProhGrip,
and will set up better around small dia. objects.

Wow, that sounds like a good thing to add, been missed! Thanx!

i'm looking at using this format or similar mmore. When i take it to vector drawings of knots, not pictures; i think the file size would fall very dramatically, to within dial'em'up range.

Thanks TheTreeSpyder, very informative and useful! I like the presentation much better than the typical knot web page that show how to tie but doesn't show the relationships that really helps make sense of it all.

Any more of these in the works?

Joe

Thanks, i believe in knot families and cross comparisons; and have tried several formats to show these etc. If you click the link at end it takes you to my sight, all kinds of stuff of different forms thar!

This is on site along the comparisons lines (as many of my knot pages and drawings are):
Basic Knots

SheetBend = Cut open Bowline, that loads differnt so mechanically less secure

i do like the format of this most recent, thanks. Filesize for dial-up could be a problem, so am looking at possibly drawing/animating knots in Flash (rather than the regular photos that eat up filesize and bandwidth) to beat the download speed.

Then the slider might look more like this project on Rope Forces in Climbing that we really haven't publically debuted...
