Hey guys, I have. Sequoia bridge that needs replacing and the fastener on my ring open is stripped. I would have to either extract it and ruin it or replace the whole ring open with something else.

I'm really disappointed with Petzl not sending really ring opens across the pond for us. Some help here guys. Thanks.

Gorman, they are sending them. Problem now is they went over so big that ran short and nobody will have them in stock for a couple weeks. If I had one I would send it your way but they sold out before I got a chance to get any myself. Good luck finding one.

If I don't get one in a month or more then I'll have to tie a backup bridge from ring to ring with some 3/8 tenex or something i have laying around

I used the tree austria shackles from wesspur. They work great, and actually have a preference for them.

They don't lock... I did use red locktite and just heat it slightly with a lighter to remove... They have a nice recessed allen socket...

For awhile I had a Tree Motion bridge tied on my Sequoia rings, Anchor Bend with a double overhand stopper on a few inches of tail, worked great. Since then I just sewed a Tree Motion bridge directly on to my Sequoia rings, that has also worked very well. I like the way the rings work on the harness so at some point I'll get the new rings so I can more easily swap in a new sewn bridge when I want to.

Moss, that looks like the thread that comes with the Speedystitcher. Is that what you're using? I just stitched up a splice on a lanyard with some Tex400 I got from Tippman's. Got inspired by your splicing work!

Yes, that's the polyester thread that comes with the speedy stitcher. I do not use the needles that come with the speedy stitcher, they are leather cutting needles, not good for sewing cordage.

I got some of their 7x3 250 ball tip needles. The material I've stitched up is a piece of Kernmaster I got on a special at WesSpur. Also, I've stitched up an E2E out of 8mm HRC, so I used a smaller needle and some 50 lb. spectra for that. I figured high modulus cord, high modulus thread.
