Subarctic Arborists!

Location
Canada
I just got back from a working trip in the subarctic and thought that I would share some pics of the trip. We had to reduce the height of almost 1000 trees for the local airport authority. The navigation controls of an airplane can get a false reading if a structure is too tall within a certain distance of the runway............the tree's could not be removed because they were by a native cemetary, so off with their tops!

The local Catholic church. It was built in the early 1900's and is still in great condition, even in the harsh climate.

The community is very old and some of the original log cabins are still standing.
