Stihl MS201TC with M-tronic

Used my MS201TC-M again today. It is stock and has not disappointed me yet (owned since July '15). I recall one significant tree-faller saying it's on par with the ol MS200T. I never owned a MS200T, so I can't provide a personal comparison.

I have owned a few 200t's .....and would never trade a fully modded 201t for one ever....now I would love to get my hands on a 201TC and fully mod that....when time comes I will....no 200t around except a works one will ever come close to my newest modded 201t....

Would you please share the details of who stocks these? Should all dealers be able to get them? And when did they come out in your area? I just started reading about them last night and already decided I really want to try one.

No-one shows to have one in stock here. The way our weather has been these last few years. 110 and blazing sun with humid air one day, cold-wet-muggy the next. Saws are always needing the carb. adjusted. I've never tried M-Tronic? Does it a live up to the hype for above mentioned purposes?

I've had mine over six months. Probably closer to a year maybe. Specifically ask your dealer to order one. They aren't on the shelves until the 201t are gone. Guess cause they know nobody will buy the 201. It's a bad ass saw stock. Totally lives up to the hype. Just fuel and run.

Was on the fence between the 540 and the 201tc finally pulled the trigger on the 201tc after a little help from Mark at Cincinnatus home center in NY he ordered mine in for me after trying to give me one heck of a good deal on a 201t they can't sell because of the black eye it got when it came out..... As for the 201tc I'm only a part timer so I don't have a ton of trigger time on it yet but wow love this saw it runs wicked and seems like it runs forever on a tank of fuel power is right there and no bog ever unlike my 192. Got it with a 14" bar its like an extension of your arm one hell of nice little saw no doubts just pick it up and run it I find myself using it for alot of ground stuff where I usually would grab the 260. You won't be sorry with the 201tc .. Mark get 5 stars too excellent ppl to do business with

Hey guys.

The MS201TC is all that's been available in these parts for nearly 1 1/2 years. They do run very well right out of the box, but not like a modded one, MTronic or not. However, they still benefit very well from the same mods I've been doing to the MS201T for several years now. You can't go wrong with one.

With the same mods, both are very close to each other in performance. However, I would give the nod to the MTronic MS201TC, simply due to user ease of operation. You can't beat a saw that never needs a tune and just runs perfectly all the time!

Anyone that needs one of these, I can provide a new saw, modded, and shipped anywhere easy of the Rockies for $705. Add $10 for west of the Rockies. Turn around is the same week I receive payment. I typically mod saw on Saturday and ship on Monday/Tuesday.
