Stein SRT Descender

Another quick question. How easy is it, and how quickly can you advance your TIP when working off the Rope Wrench?

Wasn't the Wrench made with the idea of quick up and down work w/out advancing your line? I really love the simple yet brillient idea behind it.
 
Countryboy put up a vid somewhere on how do andvance your srt line. Don't remember details but it did envolve a Yosemite tie off. This was back in the robot/f8 days
 
Chris it’s pretty easy you can either stand on some limbs close to your tie in point , lanyard in and unclip your climbing system grab some slack and push it through the redirect that you like and reclip. Or if you can’t reach it by hand, use your tail end of your line make a old school taut line hitch and climb up to where you want your new redirect to be. You can also use a longer lanyard to achieve the same thing. Hope this helps, you will love the wrench! We have been averaging about 8 trees a day with it doing storm repair. I’m so glad I learned how to use this tool this summer.
You will find yourself climbing the tree more than the traditional way. Lots of fun!!
 
It really depends on how you tie in. There are so many ways that i have found to tie in using SRT that its hard to say. The video i made way back when is good but i've updated it and made it much more efficient. I use 3 main ways of tying in SRT all for different situations and in different tree's.

I'll make a video this winter. Can't promise how soon, but i'll get it done.
