square cut chain

I tried it for a little while and just felt it was not worth the hassle. I saw no real difference and for the price of a grinder to do it I went back to round ground. I think in urban tree work we are faced with a lot of cutting conditions that are less than ideal and with square ground chain if you just look at a piece of dirty wood it's dull. Round ground is where it is at for tree work. Timber falling soft wood that is good and clean it would be fine. Cutting really hard wood that's dirty it's useless IMO. That and good luck just touching it up in the field if need be. It's not easy to hand file it well especially if it has been dinged up.
