Spruce or fir bark? Northeastern Minnesota

The needles are too high up to see without climbing. Possibly a Norway spruce? Balsam fir? I found 1 sap pocket on the bark, but it doesn't look like the other balsams nearby.
The tall one in the center. Duluth, MN

May be a bit out of range but I am thinking Red Spruce.
