How many of you have 2 seperate tanks and use one for foliar spray/pesticides and the other for deep root fert?

I messed up when I bought a 5x8 trailer for my 200gallon rig because I dont have room to add another tank.

Ideally, I would want a 200 gallon tank for fert and a 100gallon tank for foliar sprays.

How many of you just use the same tank for all and clean out as needed?

I might be in the market for a bigger trailer.

We use the same tank all the time. Only rule is no herbicide in the tank ever. I think we do a good job clearing out the tank and hose and we have never seen any negative impacts doing it this way.

I use two separate spray tanks (400 gal each)... works well especially during late spring/summer when you may have 2 or 3 diff target pests so you can get a lot done without mixing and filling for two products. Also great in spring to have fungicide in one tank and fert in another. My rig also has two hoses and reels... an older rig I used to use only had one hose/reel so had to be cautious... spray material back into tank to empty out the 300' of hose when switching from one tank to the other.
Its also nice to head out for the day and you can plan a long route and not have to worry about coming back to shop to fill, etc. very efficient, but you have to have enough business to justify the empense, of course!
