I will seek out and destroy Kristian, I mean,

You're right Mahk. I do need to slow down. In my defense, I have never destroyed another human being, and to my knowledge, have only destroyed 1 deer, one jackrabbit, and one song bird of unknown species using a vehicle.

All of those animals were hit by accident and were properly mourned and/or buried.

Kristian has nothing to worry about, I am all bark, no bite.

Rob, are you guys taking the CTW test?

See ya'll there!

SZ

yeah, thought it might be cool to have(i already have the Arborist one) i have not even studied for the written part.. and they are letting the comp. be the climbing part.. see you sat.

Rob

GOOOOD LUCK to everyone heading down to compete!!! I hope everyone travels safe, climbs safe, and has an excellent time. Someone give Kristian a hug from Toni and me.

I'm sorry to hear you won't be here, No_Bivy.

We're here at the Peabody, and we are slowly coming to grips with the startling realization that there may not be a pool in this hotel.

But at least we found the beer store.

Now I'm off to befoul the bathroom.

I have had enough of people posting about other TCCs going on besides the main one that I care about that is the Southern Chapter TCC in Little Rock, where I currently am right now.

Not to be confused with the "big rock", which is still upstream, and to the right.

I was just hanging out at the bar with the Prophet, and he seems pretty pumped about this event.

I am going to attempt to sober up before the morning.

Cheers all.

Wish all you guys were here!

It's nice here in The L Rock. We are going for sushi tonight...wish Rich were here for that.

I am also a judge for the Secured Footlock, and Kristian is working with me on the event! I am really excited for tomorrow, and also to go to bed early tonight.

The trees look terrific at the site, and the setups are very well thought out. Hopefully I will be able to take plenty of pictures tomorrow!

I'll keep posting updates as they need to be updated.

ps. I did pick up a sweet pair of shooting glasses (yellow lenses) from the Army Navy store around the corner. It goes well with my Deer Assassin hat.

Cheers my Brother

Waking up at 5am is not an easy thing to do.....

Unless it's the morning of a Southern Chapter TCC!!!!!

Cleaning up in the Dirty South!

whooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!

Excelent Competion! Koodos to all those who put the competition together, and all those who volunteered! Especially liked the explanation of what the event was about at the beginning for anyone who might not know. Have been to a few of these, and do not often see that. (Thanks Kristin). Wonderful weather too! Good job everyone!

What a great day. I personally want to thank all of the volunteers for their time, the competitors for their comaradire, and Mr Poteet for taking us. Also a big congrats to my partners Ben and Rob, what can I say, I have the privelidge of working with some of the best. Fine job to all. Great energy, great fun. Nw Rob, just get the Southern name in the front of the 08 rule book!

From Keith's post I'm assuming that Rob won..and if so

CONGRATS ROB !!!!!!!!!!! WAY TO GO !!!!!!!!

If not then not only do I feel like a fool, but I need to be set straight. Anyone have the results and other pertinent info like what Stephan ordered at the sushi bar?
Anyone have any pics? Were the shirts sleeveless again? This is why I try not to miss any TCCs...the suspense is killing me....

Hey I don't suppose anyone lost a cell phone while at the Southern TCC? On a bus perchance? I just got a call from the guy who found it. I have his info if you want it back.

That was my cell phone, and I just got it back into my hot little hands.

Rob Bramblett won the comp. (way to go!), and Rob and Ben Poteet won ALL of the preliminary events.

I didn't get to see any of the other events, as I was tied to the Footlock event, but I heard that there were some great A.R.s and the work climb was very challenging.

Congratulations to all of the competitors, it was so good to see everyone yesterday having such a good time!

We missed you down here Rich, especially last night at the bar (let's just say that Little Rock was treated to some of my famous "interpretive dance")

oh yeah, we saw boobs at the bar, too.

three of them.
