Southern Ontario Ice Storm

I'm considering taking one or two crews to the Toronto area to help out with the ice storm recovery. The timing is pretty bad being Christmas and all. Our operation are totally shut down for the holidays and a while after that. (it's -28c here this morning anyway).

It's at least a 16 Hr drive from here to there so we'd have to stay for a couple of weeks to make it worth it.

I'm not getting a good sense of the need for outside help from the media although it appears that they could use at least 100 more crews.

Any news from the most affected areas?

A friend in Georgetown said that every single tree is damaged and in need of repair.

I've heard from a couple of my buddies there that they have a ton of work to do and could use some help.

I'm off for a couple of days then back at it here so it may not be viable for me to go.
