Some techniques used for setting a line, positioning and moving from tree/limb to tree/limb.

Nice, I have to look into your magnets a little more Richard. Looks great for those traverses. Though I have never enjoyed fumbling with throwline in the tree. Think they are strong enough to use with a steel biner and rope instead?????

They do Mike. I hang a steel "dog tag" from the biner when I want a little more grip. Flat vs round area to grab, you know what I mean, I've seen some of your skills.

I understand what you mean with getting that extra surface area for more the magnetism. I'd still love to see it done with my own eyes though : ) If I could see it done efficiently with rope and steel biner, they would be added to my cart quite soon........

Yep, they work well with the steel biner from the HH or screw links. It is a different technique though.

Nice clever vidz. I made my magnets from 4 harddrive ones and heatwrap them with a cord tied off, it's a good strong setup, can lift 7kg, so I put one on the end of my rope/lowering rope, and use the other on my dog lead, just a few swings to get them to mate, it is ok over a short span. Saves bother carrying a throwline.

In my cart now !. I've been contemplating for a while , I'm getting them , shouldve a while ago.Good reason to watch the other vids. Your awesome yoyoman. I like your presentations. The MAGS Ridiculously great idea. The Mags and the minimalist ,yet very effective approach with using one clbimg line . I love the hitch climber on tail of SRT system. I've even used a tufelberger multisling with dmm ring in Blake's hitch on my tail for double ty in points . but Hitch climbers hard to beat..Why I took I liking to Dsrt being tied in with opposing rope vectors can make for pretty comfy and safe ,but I believe the loop system on the tail is easier overall. Not saying both can't be well executed, But less rope to manage is pretty sensible from a working aspect as well . I'm definitely getting the mags though . I have a 100 foot mini hank of the N.e. double braid accessory cord the blue stuff pretty thin like 3mm I wonder if that would work well your mag weights? I find out soon . Gotta watch your other vids now ! Thanks for sharing.!

Hey Richard, I have to admit that I am very impressed with your climbing! What really stood out to me was how comfortable you are and how you were able to throw your line over that crotch and catch the end. Don't know but that to me always shows a good climber, amazing that you don't do this professionally.:tanguero:

I was having some troubles with my mags today just got them last night...need to dial it in more Im sure. My 8 oz weight was not enough... once mag flipped off to capture on other side it would pull the weight up tight to union and make retrieval impossible even of I flipped it slacking line the weight would not fall, so . I'm running the 3mm new england double braid which piggy tailed up a bit on me ,but is much less tangle prone then my dynaglide I think. I'm going to try 10 and 12oz weights with different color coded lines for easier visual on which has weight and magnet . Tomorrow is another day to play with it. I will say my accuracy was making me happy today. Just couldn't get cooperation from the equipment . YET!
