Thought those leaves shaped like a water droplet were Q nigras? Missed one - sweet gum?
Just a straight up chestnut oak huh. Don't think we have 'em here. Tons of the swamp chestnuts though.
We don't have any water oak, might be some fallen laurel leaves. The one you missed is a sweet something, not gum. There's bound to be some Hickory I'm there too.

Not everyone. I just changed to a MCRS and I'm so impressed that my TM has been put back in its bag. I was totally happy with my TM and had no intention of changing but the generosity of a good friend allowed me the opportunity to try one. Awesome saddle!
Talk about shiny ! I gotta try one of those someday. I do love the TM!

Yes, first day on the job for it. It is not a final setup just some stuff quickly clipped on so I could get to work. This is a saddle that needs to be tried out to appreciate what it has to offer. It is much more than it appears.

I saw the MCRS at Jambo this year. It's a good lookin saddle and looked pretty comfortable, too. I've only heard good things about it. Once my NT wears out, the MCRS will definitely be next.

This was my last order. On 10/18/15 . Lil this lil that . Making an adjustable bridge for my TM saddle.

Would really love to hear/see how you configure/tie your adjustable bridge? - I'm going to try the same (with vectran as well) - though I was only going to order 5' (would that be enough?). I was also going to try to make a bridge from Blue Streak or True Blue.

I would suggest looking at previous post on this thread. I would look at mikepowers321 or macswans post and pictures. Also I would not use Blue Streak or True Blue for a bridge, it has too much elongation. I would use 10mm tech cord. I asked mikepowes321 to show me a picture of he's adjustable bridge. You can see it on this package of threads somewhere. I would put it here but I don't know how to post a previous thread here.I belive he has a 6mm tech cord tied into a modified taut line hitch to paws or D's that hold the bridge. I tried something very similar but when my DMM swivel slides over to side with the friction hitch, the hitch collapses. So now I am going to try using the CT Roll N Lockfastened to the right lower D that holds the bridge on my Tree Motion. I will receive the CT Roll N LockMonday from Treestuff. As soon as I get it all together I'll let you know if you like.

I like the Roll N Lock! I tried zip ties when I first got it, and there were a few things I didn't like. Compared to what Mumford demonstrates with his harness, the zip ties have less room on the Treemotion Dees and I found the zip ties to be too bulky and their sharper edges tight against the TM webbing gave me pause. I didn't want them to slowly cut into the straps. I also didn't like the Roll N Lock being tight up against the lower Dee metal to metal. I was also finding the webbing had less room to slide in THEIR slots 'cause the zip ties were hogging too much for themselves. My Solution...take it or leave it...was to use paracord to attach it (much softer and only needed one strand) and put a large rubber ring in between the Roll N Lock and the Dee. Pictures provided:

What exactly is that rubber ring? I really like that idea! Very clever.

Damn.. everyone wears tree motion or new tribe.. I must have missed the memo when I kitted myself out.

You're not alone...waving my Petzl flag proudly.

It's great to see all of these harnesses laid out, but I'm curious...what's the rhyme or reason behind the way you have yours (general term, no one specific) set up? I know this all comes down to personal preference, but what preference dictates where you hang certain critical tools? Speedline straps, we all hang wherever's handy because they generally won't stay there for long, etc., but things like Handsaws, lanyards, etc. all tend to find a place for a reason. I've noticed that most comp climbers tend to keep their lanyard adjusters on the left, while most working climber setups I'm seeing here show adjusters on the right. I've often assumed comp climbers stayed left so they could have a hand on each tail or hitch easily, but technically your climb line is centered so you can do that from either side, so I've never quite mentally figured out that trend.

I should have my current setup photographed and posted tomorrow, so I'll expand on a few of my own personal tweaks/preferences, but in the meantime...one, two, ready...discuss?
