Show us your harness

So I've noticed most guys including me have a lot of stuff on their saddle. Here's a question I ask myself. If I haven't used it in several months and it's on the saddle just in case should I take it off? Then the little voice says you might need it. I had considered packing the saddle based on my mission. Big crown clean then carry the redirect stuff. Removal of a pine, then don't carry it.

I have mine set up with a few things I use often. Then I have a small pile of Redis and whatnot that stays in the bottom of my bag for when I think I need some extra stuff. Also, if I am doing something real bare bones I will have a mad max entering barter town moment and get rid of all my weapons, before heading into the fray.

SRT vs DdRT and pruning vs. removal and size of tree decides what comes with. will i be double crotchin' and want a DdRT set up on me, or just a fig. 8 to control swings back from somewhere in the crown?
is this removal going to be a sappy POS causing me to use a fig 8 on the spar or encourage a hitch cord change on the lanyard?

My saddle usually has extras on it too. I think I pack my saddle like I pack my luggage; if I'm going to NY for a few days, I don't want to choose my clothes from home, I wanna choose 'em in NYC. So unfortunately I bring more than I need :)

I take my gear off if i know I won't need it,fig of 8,loop runner and piece of hitch cord gets used alot though so that's usually on there. Sometimes there is more, sometimes there is less.
Had a heavy load yesterday with the big impact block hanging off my ass...

I had to come down the other day to get a loopie, fkn guy couldn't figure it out!! He was bringing me my footlock prussik to rig some wood down?!??? So i just load out what ill need instead of asking it to be sent up.

I'll have to get a picture up but my setup is very minimal. Lanyard, figure 8, two loop runners with a biner on each. That's it and really I could even lose the eight for the amount I use it. Hand saw typically goes on my leg unless I'm on spurs in which case I will clip it to my saddle. I've rarely (if ever) needed more than that and if for some reason I do I'll just have it sent up. I have a less is more mentality.

I run a pretty minimalistic set up. I have a few ditty bags with certain things for certain trees. I always have a ground guy that can tie something on if I have to have it.

I rec climb only, so I'm minimalist by definition. And when I want to travel lightly, I go with my harness pants by Mammut.

Right side: wire Revolver biner, large DMM ring, HMS biner, oval biner with CT Rollnlock, and oval biner with a small X-ring loop.

Left side: non-locking asymmetrical D biner to carry my lanyard tail. CE lanyard stuffed in the ditty sack clipped to the belay loop in back.

Okay, so I have the same old stuff pretty much. I have recently incorporated the BOLA (lanyard adjuster) and I have 25' of KM III in that bag - I have the other end set up with the hitch so I can do some 2 in 1. A couple of slings and a Pinto, a F8, I have more than just the blood stopper in that pouch, a chainsaw lanyard, a delta link, silky, leatherman skeletool, Rollnlock, Hydra pulley. Oh and I have a dmm revolver on a prusik loop in the red first aid pocket for haul backs and the like.

I pretty much run the same system as Macswan does. Have a main cargo bag for all the toys, transfer to a day to day bag for each job and tailor the runout for each climb at the tree with a supply of "I will want it" on hand ready to send up when and as needed. just wanted to show my personnel fav's all on the harness.
Do so agree with the barter town method too. thats just before the blocking down is about to start or something similar,

unfortunately depending on which crew I am contracting with I encounter the same issues and react the same way just take everything I think I need on the initial ascent and then bumble around with a big arse getting in the way.
so sick of having to explain the same shit to the same people and see the same glassed over look time and time again when I tell them what I need and where in the land cruiser it can be found ( heres a hint it is the same place every time you numb nutted imbeciles )
so def do adopt Sgriffs methodology as well.
