Here is a fun project if you are a bit of a masochist and have some scraps of 16-strand laying around. Building the first eye is easy but the second eye is more difficult because you have to pull the second tail past the first tail inside the rope and it is a bit tighter than the usual bury with 16 strand. I used a a 32" long homemade wire fid to do the pulls and you have to really reef on the second tail to get it through. Once you get the tails through you do the usual taper and bury. This required a 100" piece of Arbormaster and the finished friction saver is 36" long. The second photo shows the splice before the tails were tapered and buried. I could have done this better - notice that I did not get the bury exactly even on both sides. Will try to do better next time.

On a slightly different topic, have you done any eye splices in dynema throwline? I have been doing a few lately and am trying to figure out the easiest way for pulling the tail through the cover. My guess us that they make a micro basket that will grab the tail, but I am not sure were to find one. What method do you use?

Fishing line snare or a needle as a push fid.

I've been slammed all week,I'm going to contact them and fill em in on my gripe, all honesty the shit seems useless,I mean im using it but it blows dik. I feel like i was deceived,16 strand with no core [emoji849] stoopid

That's an idea, realistically I won't though, just too much of an investment for a lousy rope that I've already overpaid for. I have some actual quality 16 strand and some tachyon that i can use instead of the shoelace,I wanted specs cause i was thinking of making it into a few friction savers .Figured i can overlap the buries and the will make it take shape, but idk first imma contact Sherrillstuff and see what the story is with this garbage rope. I only got it cause the color [emoji55]
