Search for a perfect Unicender tether and tending.

I just connect it directly to my DMM swivel with a Caribiner(instead of a croll),it keeps it aligned perfectly in a srt configuration.

I guess I like using a hand acscender and don't need to adjust the length

Is your Unicender then passive on the ascent and tended with a (thingy over the shoulder)?
Well I often use the hand ascender as well when the ascent gets long or when needed for mechanical advantage or pulling back from a limb walk.
(Hand ascender left hand, Uni right hand that is connected to a left foot loop, foot ascender right foot.)

Yeah I just use a neck tether to the uni and have my footloop on my handled ascender and a pantin on the other foot.

What I figured.

BTW........if anyone got some security warning from my magthrowbag link, I fixed it, somehow I set the link using Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) and it was giving a security warning. Thanks to a couple of you that let me know.
Honest, I'm not a fraud and your money will be safe with me :-)

Having the Uni attached directly to my adjustable length bridge is the simplest solution for me. Instead of having more pieces in my gear-chain all that's added is the Micro-grab on my harness.

Having a swivel and eye plate in the system has advantages I see. If I did more traverses or double tie-ins the eye plate would be something that I'd investigate. For now I have a CMI ring floating on the left side of my Uni.

Adjusted long...so that I can still reach up and squeeze the Uni clutches.

The welded ring is rated for 8k#. After having too many people ask if it was a dog leash ring I replaced it with the SMC Ring which everyone recognizes.

Tom, I like your bridge setup. For me adjustablity is such a key element.

Maybe the best way to improve a Unicender tether is to get rid of it completely ...

My saddle is an old Traverse with a klutzy old web bridge, so my "saddle ring" is a big HMS biner directly to the bridge. If I had a rope bridge, I'd be tempted to try one of those new Petzl rings, mounting the Mini semi-permanently and using the snatch block feature to clip into this rig.

In a few weeks, I'll make my first post about a contribution to SRT. Geez, I think I'm gonna be the last one to the party.
