Saskatoon Smoky Tree (Amelanchier Alnifolia)

I got some cuttings and some seeds today from a home owner. I am not familiar with this at all. Anybody got some advice on growing this tree. I'm in Eastern Tennessee. I've Googled it and same basic info for any tree.

My question: Is there a specific fertilizer or something special this tree needs.

I have my Propogators book packed away in effort to sell our house.
I will try to get you some good info.
In the mean time it may not be much different then Blueberries, same family.

The HO was from Thailand...I wish I had a pic of her she had to show me her ID when she said she was 60 I swear she didn't look a day over 35! There is something to say about The Land of Fruit. All those antioxidants must be working.

Thanks for the correction.. I must have been confused the seeds she gave me must be the berries then. There was a somewhat language barrier when talking to her.
