Samson "Yellow Jacket"

Most ascenders are rated for EN 1891 or EN 892 (dynamic) ropes. Since most 16 strands fall into this category: http://www.teufelberger.com/en/prod...protection-ropes/braided-safety-blue-reg.html

It becomes a question of diameter. Of course All Gear makes an 11mm 16 strand clled Neo Pro, but you wont find that in the catalog.

Of course this has nothing to do with the fact that the 1891 is to broad a standard... parallel/twisted core static lines and 16 strand braided lines are completely different. Hand ascenders break staggeringly low on 16 strand ropes compared to double braid and kernmantle lines. STAGGERINGLY LOW.

Thanks guys for all the info., I parked the Yellow jacket and bought a new Lava rope. Interestingly after just a few climbs I am seeing more little pulls from my ascenders with the Lava than the old Yellow jacket. But it is really nice and works well with the Uni.
