The Ergo is HUGE and despite all it's padding, I still found the TM to be more comfortable. Such a hard purchase to make, it's a lot of cash and you typically cannot try before you buy.all great info thank you. i currently climb in a buckingham 2 floating dee saddle its good but tends to sag down with a big saw and padding isn't that great. i do about half removals half pruning. i liked the way the erg ovation looks with the thick padding but would also like to hear what you guys are using and works for you

I think you are the first person I've "met" that has used both. Thanks for the perspective. Btw, stihl, you can make suspenders if you feel crafty like that. I used a ring, rated belt buckle, clevis, and branch saver to keep the moon from rising midday.
Also I found the Velcro waist strap to be pretty hot in the summer.
good to know . how is it for movement in the tree?handles the 44 like champ, never had it sag down
A lot of it has to do with physique of the climber, so one saddle can be perfect for one climber and not for another. It is a hard decision to make.
I really like the customization you can do with the TM. As for movement, I've not really climbed in anything else for a few years, so I couldn't say, except
I upgraded from a Weaver Floating D to a TreeMotion. I'm pretty sure anything would feel awesome after that, but I really do like the TM. It moves with your movement and can be adjusted in every way...maybe too many adjustments. - You also have endless options with positioning gear. Very comfortable and great for work positioning. The lower Dees are excellent, but those are not exclusive to the TM.
It would be great if you could try different saddles on and get them fitted to you to see which you would prefer, but honestly I don't think you can go wrong with a TreeMotion. It might not be the best for you, but it certainly wouldn't be the worst...I think that could probably be said about any of the top of the line harnesses. You will get a quality harness with any of them.

that it's worlds better than the steel d and sewn loop saddles I used before.
