It does well. Shortening the bridge helps, with either a slip knot or mechanical adjuster. There are a couple threads covering that. Otherwise I have no complaints.

Yes^^^
And the lower Dees are great for spar work...distributes the pressure. You can even use two lanyards, one one each set of Dees. And yes making the bridge adjustable so you can really choke up on your system close and tight works well with the TM.

I bought an Ergo to replace my Sequoia, and only dry tested it (no real work climbing). It was comfy but seemed unnecessarily bulky, ultimately I went with the TM and still love it. It has the gear loading abilities of the Sequoia but the comfort of the Ergo. It is so customizable that it can seem daunting but give it some time and you'll get it dialed in. The Ergo does have a bunch of quality accessories (batten seat, suspender/ fall arest/ chest harnesses, rigid leg straps, etc.) but the TM doesn't need all that. The new Sequoia and the NT Onyx seem like close runners up...
Good luck and let us know what you decide on.
I wish there were more retail centers to go try stuff on at.
