RopeRunner Pre-Order

I climbed on a new All Gear Blue Craze 11.5mm rope today. My first impression is that the RR handles it very similarly to Aztec. It climbs with a slightly more static feel than Aztec and I like that.

My only "complaint" is that descending 80' milked a couple of inches of cover. I got sewn eyes on both ends since they were on sale and will need to cut one off and milk the entire 200' of rope. No biggy...just don't buy it with eyes on both ends.

I never get spliced eyes...no need...that being said you found it more static than aztec...hmmm interesting I am listening...lol

After side by side comparisons, I realize the Blue craze is not "more static" than Aztec. It has less initial stretch when you weight it, but slightly more bounce (which still isn't much). The RR does handle nicely on this rope.

After running the RR down the full length of a 200' rope, I cut off 9" of cover that had miked off the core.

I think it might blind me on sunny days. Wish I had gold fillings to match. Buzzpimp.
