RopeRunner Pre-Order

I got my runner last week. Noticed that when I set up a 2:1 for limb walk returns, the rope can press on the body and keep the runner from engaging. Anyone had that issue or have a piece of advice?

I've been enjoying the RR a lot. It's all I've climbed on since it came in the mail last month. I've used it for big pruning, removals and some tricky stuff that I was kinda debating on going rope wrench on but decided to put my faith into the new tool. Thanks for the loner model Frank. It was great to have an extra one to pass around. Some of the dudes were skeptical at first but have since come around to liking the RR. For me I love how nice it tends. Ascending is great with a foot ascender and floating/hass style ascender. I'm running Yale sumac and totally getting things dialed in for the smooth descent. Fun stuff!

No problem Hutch you guys are right in my neighborhood. Hopefully some day I'll get to come climb with you guys and see how pros do it. I know I was amazed how fast Rob was up and moving around the tree we were playing in.

I only used the runner for a little while, but I noticed the same thing. I remember finding that the best way of avoiding it was to let go of the working end of your line very quickly and just let go.

But I bet someone here who uses the rope runner often has better advice.
