i just bought a RW for a climber who speaks Spanish better than English. Are the instructions available in Spanish?

I am unaware of such. You might need to try to use some kind of translation program to accomplish this.

Another possibility is to ask him if he knows anyone who is bilingual who could translate it for him. McDonald's frequently has hispanic personnel working for them that speak both english and spanish, as it really helps in neighborhoods with a lot of diversity.
