I don't use Sherrill "Grizzly" spliced products anymore.

I (maybe others, too) am very interested in why you don't use "Grizzly" spliced products anymore.
Should I retire mine??? But, I don't want to hi-jack this tread - pm me if you'd prefer.

I specifically chose Sherrill’s Grizzly Splice for my i2i friction hitch because it allows complete inspection of the entire splice before, after and during every minute of a climb. From what I’ve seen and read, all other knots and splices are either more bulky or have so-called “weaknesses” that are hidden from inspection. In fact, it has been my experience that the Grizzly Splice always outlasts the i2i line.
On DdRT, I use a Distel with a Grizzly Splice Bee-Line i2i and don't seem to get any appreciable twist.
On SRT, I don't seem to get any appreciable twist out of my Grigri, either.
