Rope runner with Haas

Just received my rope runner today and played with it for a few minutes in the shop. How are you fine buzzers attaching your Haas to the system? I tried looking through the posts and the youtube videos but I cant seem to find my answer.

My haas attaches to my chest harness no matter what tool I am hanging from. Without a chest harness I would probably be attaching to the bridge ring or swivel. Or I think I used to clip it to the attachment biner next to where it connects to the bridge ring or swivel. That may or may not be clear, let me know

I normally attach my knee ascender at the same point the RR is attached. Usually a chest harness or something similar.

No need for attaching to anything with the kneescender:)

Attach your HAAS somewhere other than the Rope Runner or any of its connections, including your bridge. If you do, stride will not only be limited, but the HAAS bungee will pull down on the Rope Runner pulley and create a bunch of drag during ascent. With the Runner, it's best to use a Swing Chest Harness made by SwingDude (Paul Didier). That's what all your system components will connect to...HAAS bungee and RR tending snap.

Since my collar bone healed enough to start splicing again. I didn't want to reveal it until I could get thorough testing with it. Pros: U can wear it for the whole climb without congestion near ur climbing system. Easy on/off and go. Cons are minor like it lifts ur pant leg up just high enough so sawdust gets in ur boot, and ur coworkers look at u like u have a robot leg.

okay Tyler, you have been on this setup for awhile now I presume. Any additional pros and cons?

Like Kevin, i attach haas to my upper hip ring on treemotion (same general area). Stays out of the way yet maintains full functionality without drag. Easy to pop foot loop off and wrap around back pad for short term stowage without risk of dropping it (hip ring connection stays, foot loop connects to caritool on other hip). Often times i just leave it on my foot.

Took my bungee off the croll and attached it directly to my bridge swivel with a biner. I use a small cord to hand tend the RR. don't think I will go back to the bungee anytime soon. I Use the same settup on the RW.IMGP0001.webp IMGP0003.webp
