Has anyone had a chance to use one?

I have used one a few times. I bought one when they first came out and used it a dozen times or so. Simple to use, my only word of caution is that they scale will read about 4000lbs, at 4001 the scale will break. Not the unit itself that holds until 8,000lbs. Don't quote those numbers but just be aware that there is a difference. It is in my paperwork somewhere. However they are a really nice self contained load cell.

I have not put the batteries in mind yet, I have some things I want to do with it. Do I understand correctly the application only works with iPhone and not an Android?

Were you running higher or lower shockloads than expected?

I was actually right about where I thought I would be. I only rig light and kind of have an unfair advantage though. My full time job is a product engineer for outdoor stadium loud speakers. I have to account for shock loads and design accordingly for the safeties. I just really wanted one for the heck of it. We have several other brands and have are stuff break tested to confirm my safety factors. Slight advantage, lol.
