So if one foot section of red oak @36 in diamter wieghs roughly 450 lbs your talking about negative rigging 3 foot sections which is roughly 1300 lb chunks onto a pinto pulley with probably 1/2 sling attached, it ain't gonna matter if you got a bull rope bro..that sling and whatever's on it is catching a metric shit ton of force.

It'll be only a metric ton of force on the sling if the pinto adds a lot of friction (which it doesn't), and if you can completely eliminate shock loading (which you can't).
