Rigging Rope suggestions

i would say it deploys pretty well. its not a coil. no twisting involved. if someone doesn't lay it out right then it tangles.

Wow, impressive! I stand (well, actually I'm sitting right now) corrected. Your "coils", or whatever you call them, are twice the length of the ones I was taught to make, and as you pointed out, no actual coiling, so I think both of those help a lot. My biggest problem would be the "if someone doesn't lay it out right then it tangles" part, working with less than skilled groundies. At least when I tell them to grab the green rope bucket and send the end up, they can usually manage to do that.

I do think bags are the best way to go. But this is just so fast for me, aNd it stores a bit more compact tHan a bag and easier to hang. And like you said going from one tree to another, I do it on my shoulder and leave it there till the next tree. My wife asked me once, "how does your neck get so dirty?".

This is by far the best way to store an extension cord as well.

One downside to the technique you've shown is if you work in an area that has poison ivy (stuffs everywhere here) you will inevitable have it real bad on your next.
And something about bags that's great is that i can pitch them out of the bucket into the rope path i want easier than a coiled rope.
But takes me longer to stuff it in the bag...

I coil all my rope the same way. Safe for one that gets bagged (threw the money away, might as well use it). Seems to me when I was taught.. I think I was told its called a butterfly coil? Or mountaineers coil? I don't remember.

But its for sure faster than bagging. I never run into tangle issues?

Edit: now I'm thinking it might be a backpackers coil? I dun-fuckin-know.

I love the tarps. I had an Edelrid rope caddy with some PMI line in it. It now houses my 12mm rigging line and the Rig-N-Wrench. They are just to small for 5/8 line.

Okay so here is my next question... Eye or no eye? I would say sure why not but I am worried that they may not pass through rigging rings. I have both X's and TS' s version.

Thanks, that is what I just spliced on my 5/8 husky. That has to be the easiest splice I have ever done. Definitely needed the lock stitching in that one.

Hahahhaaa,It happened right as i was walking to the backyard,i hear yelling and see a log in there,I couldn't believe he managed to shoot it down the hill and right in without damaging any other part of the stone worked edge and landscape. right as im telling the client how sorry i am for this and im sure it was a complete accident...here comes piece #3!!!
I couldn't frikkn believe it,i was speechless, what else could i do but start yelling at the climber and assure the client i will personally remove the remaining in a controlled manner(super simple negative riggin),,idk wtf was wrong with this guy at all,he didn't speak English so thats in literal form. Mind you i was only an employee at this company, was not my show.
