Retrievable redirect for SRT

The instructions seem to lay out stuff pretty well.

Nice too. And appears to work in a pretty similar fashion. I just like how the system in the video above is only a ring and accessory carabiner.

The other difference I see is... The one with the ring and mini biner releases the redirect only while leaving the main anchor in place. The other, from sherrill, seems to need the entire system to feed through it to retrieve the redirect.

I love the ring option for temporary redirects! The other would be nice if you wanted to wait until the end of the climb to retrieve etc.

Is it important that the redirect cinch on the branch, or could the attachment be merely looped over the redirect point?

I would think cinching would be preferred, especially on limb with a harsh slope, but I haven't used these much.
