thread the green rope through the cinch and through the ropeman. put climbing line through the hms carabiner. clip the retrieval shackle onto your spliced eye climbing line.

its all good to climb on now. the cinch locks on and can only move as far as the ropeman, the ropeman will only slide up to the cinch, not the other way. note there is no retrieval line going back to the redi. now to get it back........................ lanyard in and clip bottom carabiner from hc to a marlin spike. attach a retrieval ball about 2 ft above your climbing spliced eye

pull your hitch down and it will send your spliced eye upwards towards the redi. the ball will pop through the hms carabiner and hit the shackle, keep pulling and the shackle will open the ropeman. the ropeman will in turn open the cinch.

cinch open. the only thing to go through the redi crotch is the green rope that has no knot or anything to get stuck. once out you just pull the rope back to you.

hey bro, i attach the ball 2 ft away so that when you retrieve, the hc crab doesnt get caught up in the redi. It gives the shackle room to move if ya know what i mean. It all looks rather cumbersome but in use its real easy to setup and retrieve. cheers
