redirects for double rope (with the ropeman)

wondering what people think to the redirect at 9:30 in this video. It uses a ropeman, but in a configuration where that pice only sees .5 of a load at most. I like the Idea of a in tree retrievable redirect for double rope and am thinking about putting one of these together. the whole video is worth a watch.

It's a variation on a technique published a while back in one of VTIO's articles:

Go to page 15. I kinda like the version in the video better because it only uses one carabiner.

Either way I think these are the best types of artificial redirects. You don't need a separate retrieval line and you can pull them at any point without losing your main TIP. Baller.

NIce thanks for a vid of that DBT. I am going to play with incorporating the pinto in to this set up to reduce a bit of friction and see how it all comes together. I have been using the ring on my hitch set up as well (inspiration from you) and it is working well.
