Rear loop on a TreeFlex?

Okay, got a new Treeflex for Christmas...I LOVE it, very comfy, light and it works like it is supposed to :)

the belay loop on the back? is it rated? there is nothing in the specs that mention it.

If you want to compete, is it rated to clip in to be lowered after footlocking?

thanks,
Cary

The only rated loops on the treeflex is the side d rings (metal) and the bridge itself. Otherwise everything else is to be considered not rated for life support.

The attachment that you are talking about is to hold suspenders, I believe it was intended for use of the petzl suspenders.

Yeah your right family except I think the tree flex has its own custom suspenders.Family whats up with that quote,I dont get it.

okay? so if you use it to compete in it, how do they belay you for the footlock??

you put a fall arrest harness on over it

The FL belay is many years old.

If a full body harness is used the most comfortable way to configure it is to put it on then your climbing harness on top.

I believe that the rear loop is rated...but not 100% sure. Contact Bailey's or Safety Technology to find out for sure.

Tom, how long since it has been a requirement at local TCC's?

I was aware of a specific event that triggered the requirement, I thought it was relatively recent.
