REALLY?

but that's like a Friday at 230 kinda cut, nah mean?

Right. It was sorority house job that had to be done on a holiday weekend, and my folks were visiting from the west coast. Nearly everything had to be roped down. I was out of there by a little past noon. One way or another risks to the quality of our lives are incurred.

I like Ropeshield's direction. Maybe I can draw some fire too.
There is a good youtube video of a guy getting knocked off a stob and falling about 20-25 feet onto a log doing the same thing. Took the butt of the piece square in the chest too. Don't know what happened to him, but I'll bet he got an ambulance ride.

@oldoakman; Thanks for the response; I know how that goes. I've been watching a bunch of them on YouTube, but there are so many, it might take me a while to find it, if ever. Now that I know approximately how long it is, that might help me to narrow it down a bit faster.

Thanks again.

Tim

This is the picture that is going to defend one hand chain saw use ? Get the FK outta here , no reason in this situation to one hand saw . WTF ? Cutting a piece of firewood out with two ropes ? snap links . Who does sh*t like this ? UN fkn believable . This picture , and that article just pisses me off . All show no go ! I'm losing my mind looking at this picture , reading that article. I got to go throw up , I'll be right back .
Pic was taken a fews yrs ago. Will try to answer all your questions. Ok @Riggs

Hi my name is Emmett and I sometimes (often) one hand a chainsaw. My one handed chainsaw of choice is a 200T. I've been doing tree work for 10 +\- years now. Former employers insisted that is what bucket trucks and "bucket saws" were invented for. Now I'm admitting to having a problem.

You must be a friend of Stihl.

LOL

Fire in the hole...

Seems to me that an awful lot of one-handed chainsaw use is just lazy work positioning.

*taking cover*
I will take the bait , go ahead and poke the bear ! Lazy work position , WOW , that is a loaded response. Any person that climbs up a tree is far from lazy . How about this one ... Situational work positon ? Like that one. Sure , everybody is climbing and working in cute , adorable trees with a light at the end of the trunk that brings you home safely . UH OH , this tree is fkn ugly , I didn't sign up for this , now what . Tie in three times , place both hands on your saw and mommy will be right back .
That picture shown one handed a saw isn't lazy , it was clueless. One handing didn't grab my attention it was all the rigging and the star wars storm trooper outfit . A saw is a tool , don't be the tool . (Mark Powell , you better have picked up that wood !)

I hear what your saying Riggs, but I know what he said about lazy positioning does apply to things I've done if I'm honest about it.
I like what your saying about the picture and the insane amount pointless stuff going on there tho. It is funny.
