With your great credentials and if you are like you sound, your starting pay with us would likely be $20.00 and you'd quickly go to maybe $25 if you are as you sound.

I had a forestry college student help us for two weeks this summer. Great guy, he's really going to be someone. He's only put one year in college so far, one more year to go.

Anyway, started him at $9.00 an hour, as a groundman and he also has climbing experience. Next day, I jumped him to $12 I think. Then to $15. Then he ended at $20 an hour. He only worked 14 days and he went from $9.00 to $20.

We pay people what we can and often I pay ahead on what I think they will become. Invest in them.

After reading some of the private messages and this thread, I'd think that Xman and Cottonwood would both benefit highly from connecting with each other.

I'm tempted but since my wife has a good job she loves I have to do my part and make things work here first. I'm still renting and getting out of a house leases is very hard. I'll keep in touch when it comes time to move again.

At least I'm getting killer experience and have some time on the side to hunt down all the stuff I want to do. Looks like I should start my emt classes shortly and my state horticulturalist too. Back to the books. Thanks for all the help and keep it coming. I love the buzz.

Xman is great to see a person like you inventing in your workers. Not too many people understand that how to keep your guys for years. I do wish I could join you and I did drool over the climbing spot not too long ago.
