Thanks for posting these up, the first one wouldn’t grab as one of the wraps was on top of the top wrap. Putting the wrap under instead of over turned it into the Swabish.
The second one works great and is new to me, it’s a 3-2 VT with a half hitch finish around one of the legs. It stretches to the length of the preformed eye cords, like the VT, but still grabbed unlike the VT sometimes. It’s a little struggle, but does hand tend without extra hardware.
The stopper eyes make it nice and compact, the thimble makes tending nearly effortless.
Not sure, but your son might be required by your state laws to provide a name for it!
